In Rissa, we have one of Norway's most specialized facilities for industrial surface treatment. Here, we handle everything from small components to large cylinders weighing up to 35 tons, in climate-controlled halls with a high degree of automation and documentation.
Norsk Coating AS was established in 1993 and has since then been specialized in surface treatment. In 2024, the company became part of the Servi Group, and the facility in Rissa is today our dedicated environment for surface treatment of steel and metals.
We perform surface treatment on both products from Servi's own production and equipment supplied directly from customers.

The cylinders range from under 1 kg to 35,000 kg, with diameters from about 40 to 800 mm and stroke lengths up to 13 meters.
The stress the equipment will be exposed to can vary from storage in dry buildings to rough use in harsh offshore environments.
We always tailor the paint system and process according to requirements and intended use.
We provide surface treatment for all steel and metal.
In Rissa, we have climate-controlled halls with an operator panel that controls temperature and climate management. This allows us to optimize the climate for the different paint systems we use, ensuring consistent and predictable quality.

This gives us high flexibility and capacity for both individual assignments and series production.
Through our facility in Rissa and our partners, we can offer:
• Inspection of welds using most common NDT methods, performed by NDT operators according to ISO 9712
• Welding according to third-party approved procedures in accordance with ISO 15614-1
• Certified welders according to ISO 9606-1, for both carbon steel and corrosion-resistant materials, including duplex and superduplex
• Pressure testing / functional testing of products as needed
• Dimensional inspection with calibrated measuring equipment
• Deliveries with a complete documentation package – specially tailored for customers in offshore and subsea sectors
We can also provide rental of Frosio inspectors Level III and personnel on a project or hourly basis.
At Rissa, we have a close collaboration with the vocational training committee for the implementation of trade examinations in surface treatment. This helps to ensure a high professional standard and continuous development of competence.
